The Viennese Surf Rock Band Beach Girls and the Monster consists of members of various Austrian bands such as the post-folk ensemble Dust Covered Carpet and the goth-rockers Crystal Soda Cream.
Not only the title of the film “The Beach Girls and the Monster” from 1965, but also its scenography inspired the band’s sound and look. Beach Girls and the Monster’s motto “Loving, Singing – Surfing, Sinning” stays present in every song. Therefore on their 4-Track 7inch “I go Surfing” one 60s surf party hit follows another.
